Sole Sisters Shirt Order!!!

For those of you who were unable to attend the May 30th walk, I will be at the walks on June 13th and 20th, for t-shirt pick-up. If you are not going to be able to attend either of those walks, please contact me and we can arrange an alternate pick-up time.

Joyful Walks!!!
Our last scheduled Sole Sisters walk will be June 20th, starting up again, September 19th. Our leaders will take a well deserved rest. Sole Sister, Eleanor Joy, would like to keep the fun going all summer long. If you are interested in being a part of Eleanor's summer walks, please email her at [email protected] so she can add you to her master list. She has also requested that if anyone has a Mac and can help her set up a master list, she would be most appreciative. Happy summer walking! Thank you Eleanor!

June 20th Walk Location and Wind-Up Picnic- Nile Creek and Picnic at Kathy's afterwards. This will be the last walk of the season. Travel on Highway 19A, as if you are heading out to Qualicum Bay/ Bowser. Just before the Nile Creek Bridge is Charlton Road. Take a left on Charlton (Right if you are coming from up Island) and park at the very end of the road. This trail has a few gentle ups and downs and the footing can be tricky in spots. Following the walk, we will head to Kathy's home at 259 Jimmy Road. If you are not comfortable on the walk, please still come out and join us for our picnic. Plan to arrive at Kathy's about 11:20am. From Nile Creek, travel to Kenmuir Road, turn right, then left onto Leon, then left onto Jimmy. Please bring a lawn chair, your own coffee cup and something yummy to share. Suggestions are simple foods like fruit, muffins, cookies, veggies, etc.

Carpooling! Meet by the empty building at the front of Wembly Mall, (The BC Liquor Store side) by 9:05am for the Nile Creek Walk. This is not organized by ACRA, but by a group of the Sole Sisters.

Important! If you are a fast walker, it is important that if you are ahead of the walk leader, that you loop back to the group, so no one gets lost. It is also important that you read about the difficulty and terrain of the week's trail, because we can't have people turning back halfway. The leaders try to plan for 60 minutes, but always give yourself extra time, because we stop and look at things! If you are unsure about a trail, call or email Kim or Kristine. Our contact information is in the green box above.

Thank you all for your support of each other and the program, and to Susan, Kathy, Elaine and Magdalena, for being our fabulous leaders! What a great group of friends!
