Sole Sisters Weekly Walk Location

Wednesday/ December 13th -  Please join us for our Sole Sister Christmas Walk and Cheer! This will be the last walk of the season, until January 10th, 2018. We will meet at Bome Cheese, on the Alberni Highway, just before (Or after) the Bradley Centre, on Shearme Road, depending on the direction you are coming from. There is plenty of parking. Please meet at 9:45am, and the flat and gentle walk along the rail trail, will begin at 10:00am, starting and finishing at Bome Cheese. After the 60 minute walk, we hope you will join us inside Bome Cheese for some apple cider/coffee and authentic German cheesecake. At this time, we would like to kindly ask all of the Sole Sisters for a donation (No amount is too small!) to be put towards the child and youth programs ACRA offers in the community. ACRA works hard to connect the community through sports, arts and culture and we can only offer free and affordable programs to families with the generous support of grants and community people and businesses. If you are not able to attend our last 2017 walk, please consider making a donation to ACRA at one of the Sole Sisters walks. You can give your money to Kim, Kristine or Susan. Thank you so much and Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones.

Carpooling! If anyone would like to carpool, please meet by 9:30am by the old ReMax building, in the corner of the Save-On Foods parking lot.

Important! If you are a fast walker, it is important that if you are ahead of the walk leader, that you loop back to the group, so no one gets lost. It is also important that you read about the difficulty and terrain of the week's trail, because we can't have people turning back halfway. The leaders try to plan for 60 minutes, but always give yourself extra time, because we stop and look at things! If you are unsure about a trail, call or email Kim. My contact information is in the green box above.

Thank you all for your support of each other and the program, and to Susan, Kathy and Elaine for being our fearless leaders! Thank you also to Sonya and Monica who have kindly been helping at many of the walks. We have become a BIG and HAPPY group.
