This FREE workshop teaches twelve participants how to prepare a series of nutritious, affordable, and delicious meals.
Learn to cook tasty, healthy and affordable meals in a supportive and relaxed atmosphere! Each session addresses a different topic, including safe food handling and storage, meal planning and healthy snacks. Week five will have the group visiting a local grocery store to learn about reading labels and how to buy affordable and healthy products. Each participant will receive their own handbook full of cooking tips and delicious recipes and never go home hungry! The class will prepare a fresh home-cooked meal each week and then sit down to share it together.
Make a variety of recipes including:
- Homemade pizza
- Roasted veggies
- Veggie friters
- Granola bites
- Kale salad
- Apple crisp
